Job title – Childrens Residential Support Worker

Location – North Wales

Pay - £10-£11 per hour, £45 sleep in (minimum £200 for a full day and a sleep in)

Hours – Full time, part time, weekend only – Full days and sleeps

 

Lavoro Care are currently looking for Children’s Residential Support Workers based within Telford, who are keen individuals with an ambition to progress within health and social care. The successful children’s support worker will be changing the lives of children who have the most complex needs with an integrated approach to care. We are looking for support workers with a passion for care, professionalism and always looking to go the extra mile.

 

Responsibilities of a Residential Childcare Worker

-          Ensure that the appropriate safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures are adopted, implemented and monitored

-          To identify, target and work with young people who are involved in antisocial behaviour and related disorder to identify their needs and introduce a programme of activities to provide new positive opportunities.

-          Communicate effectively and build positive relationships by developing a rapport with young people enabling young people to work effectively on an individual basis and in groups

-          To establish appropriate risk assessments, guidelines and procedures for detached work

-          To work flexibly as may be required by the needs of the service and carry out any other reasonable duties as required

 

Requirements of a Residential Support Worker

-          A minimum of 6 months experience working with children and young people

-          Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle

-          You must have the legal right to work in the UK

-          Full employment history with any gaps explained

 

All successful candidates will be required to undergo a full safe employment check including an Enhanced DBS check and two references, one being your most recent employer.
