Job title – Residential Children’s Worker

Location – Shrewsbury

Pay - £11.55-£13.55 per hour, £50 per sleep in

Hours – Full time, part time and weekend only

Requirements of a Residential Support Worker

-          A minimum of 12 months UK experience working with children and young people

-          Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle IS essential

-          You must have the legal right to work in the UK

-          Full employment history with any gaps explained

Responsibilities of a Residential Support Worker:

-          Provide support for the children and young people in the home and to promote their independence and wellbeing

-          To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed

-          Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare

-          Maintain a safe environment for young people

-          Engage, communicate and listen to the children and their needs

-          Work pro-actively

-          Provide essential care and nurturing to the children

-          Maintain professional boundaries

-          Remain person centred at all times
